World Congress on Endometriosis 2025

World Congress on Endometriosis 2025

Last week we attended the 16th World Congress on Endometriosis in Sydney.

Last week we attended the 16th World Congress on Endometriosis in Sydney. Hosted by the World Endometriosis Society, the Congress is a global event that aims to advance the understanding of patient treatment, patient care and the causes and consequences of endometriosis for the 1 in 10 affected by the disease worldwide.

Check out our video below with some of the highlights

It was incredible to see patients being put at the heart of research, and the dedication and commitment of clinicians and researchers across the world to improve the lives of those affected by endometriosis through research. We know that in the UK investment in research is so vitally to offer much needed hope for the community – in needing to find the cause of the disease, better treatment and management options, and one day a cure. We’ll be campaigning over the coming months and years for the hopes for investment to become a reality and continuing to work with the research community to ensure patients are at the heart of any ongoing or future research on endometriosis.

Prior to the conference, we also attended and spoke at the World Endometriosis Organisations (WEO)Pre-conference course, and chaired a number of sessions including on our work on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, our Endometriosis Friendly Employer Scheme, and a session on global campaigning.

This was a unique and fantastic opportunity to hear from endometriosis associations across the world about the work they are doing to improve patient care including on employment initiatives and education programmes in schools, that Endometriosis UK will be working towards in the coming months. It was an amazing opportunity to network, learn and see what projects we can bring back to the UK to improve the lives of those affected by endometriosis.
